Each neighborhood of Madison has its own notable quirks, restaurants + charm. This is the beginning of a new series on how to spend a day in each section of our city. We're starting with one of our personal favorites — the Schenk-Atwood-Starkweather-Yahara.

- MMSD is looking for volunteers to help with classroom support, clerical duties + supporting students during transitions throughout the day. All volunteers will need to pass a background test + you can sign up to help here. 📓 (Channel3000)

- SSM Health’s new multi-specialty clinic plans to open in February on Fish Hatchery Rd. The $75 million center worked with Findorff and the Urban League of Greater Madison to develop a plan for a diverse workforce, as well as maximize the well-being of staff. 🏥 (NBC15)
- UW associate professor of dermatology, Dr. Apple Bodemer, is reminding Madisonians to get outside for at least 10 minutes a day to help maximize vitamin D production in your body. Many Americans in northern latitudes — aka Wisconsin — suffer from less UV exposure, which can affect mood disorders and immune health. (NBC15)
